HEY!!!
Here’s the new single from my brain to yours. I’m putting it up here because it was on thesixtyone but that site confuses me lately.
Big Girl
Don’t forget to buy the single! Or “illegally” (what a wishwashy word you have become) obtain the single through email from a friend, if you can put up with sleepless night after night of painful gmail mp3 download guilt. There’s the new Big Girl track and then there’s Wire, which is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made and also my mom’s favorite. Then there’s Baby (Demo) which sounds like an old school Chris Merritt demo from a couple years ago with updated songwriting skills and a manlier voice.
As for me, I’ve been recording, driving, starving, and generally living like a king.

You SHOULD tell all your friends about my stuff. In fact, I think we’re gonna have some cool marketing things with that very idea in mind.
Why should you tell your friends? So that you can slightly increase the chance that my music will someday hit the social phenomenon known as a tipping point and produce me significant creative power and means (i.e., money) and notoriety. Why would you act on behalf of someone else’s seemingly superficial desires? Ah! Because they are only superficially superficial. I promise (and we’re going on the Merritt system here, ha get it) that if elected rockstar I will use my powers to further the concept of objectively good music (and art in general) in the form of powerful audio heart-brain-and-ass-kickings. I will also use my lyrics and resources to further the interest of humanity as a whole by encouraging interest in physics and science and reality, philosophy and biology. If given a platform, I will tackle the biggest questions of our times, including: what is art? why are most people uninterested in cool things? where are we going? where did matter come from? why does complexity bear surprising results? why is human life so tragic? and most importantly, is society headed down an objectively destructive path, to be all but wiped out before hitting a technology singularity, or is the future full of snobby little bastards connected directly to a Borg-like hive mind, giving way to all ruling hyper-intelligent god-like version of those automated customer service “personalities”?
