Chris Merritt does not have a pretentious bone in his body (have you seen the pants he wears?) and his sense of humor is highly evolved – i.e., everyone should laugh at themselves and not take life so seriously. He puts himself down more than anyone else and he would be shocked if he were to influence their life by his mere ramblings or opinions.
Chris is too busy creating the next song – and it will be LIKE SOMETHING YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY HEARD A MILLION TIMES – maybe the critics will not consider it “commercially viable”, but “IT WILL BE FROM HIS HEART AND YOU WILL FEEL SOMETHING WHEN YOU LISTEN TO IT”. To me, that’s worth gold, and it’s worth supporting him.
