This song broke the longest writer’s block I ever had in my life. I hadn’t been able to write a song for months. I was suffering from chronic depression and this song was the first step out of it. I’ve never had writer’s block for NEAR as long since, nor have I been quite as depressed. Those things come and go always for me, but this song represents my brain learning to get over those humps.
